Enhjørningen er et magisk fabeldyr, som i mange år har været en mystisk skabning i mange kulturer. Nogle forfattere beskrev den som en hest med horn, mens andre beskrev den på andre måder. Den enhjørning vi traditionelt kalder en enhjørning i dag, er den som ligner en hest med et horn i panden. Andre steder i verden – f.eks. nogle steder i Asien – har din en helt anden opfattelse af, hvordan en enhjørning ser ud.

Enhjørningen er i dag forbundet med magi, farver og er en favorit hos i sær piger. De fleste piger har på et eller andet tidspunkt, haft en fase hvor der har været helt vilde med enhjørninger. For nogle at det blot en fase, men for andre hænger det ved, og de fortsætter med at holde af de magiske dyr.

Enhjørningens mange udbredelser

Enhjørningen har i dag udbredt sig til både at være noget børn, teenagere og voksne holder af. Du vil ofte se pigeværelser være dekoreret med enhjørninger plakater, legetøj og malebøger osv. Ligeledes bliver der lavet julekalendere, tøj og skoletasker med enhjørningtema. Til fødselsdage kan du endda få et utal af forskellige slags pynt og tilbehør til at laver kager, som er enhjørningen som tema.

Som sagt er det dog ikke kun hos børn den er populær. Der bliver også lavet tøj til voksne med den på, samt alt fra milkshakes til hårstile med tema af det magiske fabeldyr.

 

Findes enhjørningen?

Lidt ligesom julemanden, er der mange børn, som tror på at enhjørningen findes. De har set tegnefilm, film og måske endda læst bøger hvor enhjørningen fremgår, og det er derfor helt naturligt, at de ønsker at den skal eksistere. I langt de fleste tilfælde er enhjørningen nemlig et kærligt væsen, som samtidig symboliserer mystik, styrke, liv og magi. Det er alle spændende egenskaber, i sær for børn. Så findes enhjørningen? Det må man selv vurdere – ingen ved det med sikkerhed.
